My ideas for my snapshot came from trying to express the two extremes of my personality. There have been many painful and rewarding moments in my life to choose from. What I did was took the moments that, to me, were the most poignant as well as the ones that were the most entertaining paired them together. I imaged that those moments would be great for my snapshot paper because of the way I could arrange the stores. For example, I could start with a very serious snapshot and gradually transition to the most entertaining of the snapshots. This technique is an excellent way to seamlessly transition from a more serious topic to a humorous one. There were very poignant snapshots that I considered using for the paper. Unfortunately, I did not because in, my opinion it would be to personal to put on an english assignment. As I finished my snapshot paper I found that the snapshots that would work the best would be the ones that made the paper transition from a very serious topic to a very light and entertaining one.

Picking snap shots based on your two different personalities or emotions is an interesting thought process. When picking my snap shots some of mine were more happy than others but it didn't really go into my decision of picking them. I just picked the most vivid memories, but serious snapshots transitioning in to happy ones is different. The transition of my emotions may affect my thoughts in a future paper.
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of transitioning from serious to humor. It keeps the reader interested and out of a "slump" the idea of having that transition keeps a reader from getting sad or maybe feeling depressed after a more serious snapshot. Smart thinking. I also think by including serious and a humorous side it showed who you were and that you weren't a static person but actually very dynamic in who you were.
