Blog Post #3: Ashley Shaw


I like when I shortened my paragraph down to only two or more syllable words because I feel like even if the reader didn't get all of the detail I put into the original they'd still understand what was going on. They'd still feel it almost as much as I did.

"Christmastime: cookies, presents, family, friends. Telephone ringing bringing sorrow. Hospitals, machines beeping, doctors removing tubing keeping grandmothers alive. Bodies lunging forward gasping. Falling, crying, muscles tightening. Christmastime: Undeniable Suffering."
