Blog #4

When I  was creating my snapshots I tried to write about things I was either really passionate about or that i had vivid memories of; because of this most of my snapshots are fairly recent but they all have to do with topics that encompass my whole life. I have had amazing opportunities to travel and see the world in my life and I feel like that is something that sets me apart so i wanted to touch on that which is why i started my snapshots with my trip to Europe and visiting the concentration camp in Mathausen. The experience I had there was really something special  and one that i will never forget. It way eye opening and i had never really done anything like that before. It was an experience that stuck out to me and one that shaped me.
Photography is another aspect of my life that has made a huge impact and really opened my eyes to a lot of  the subtle beauty in life. My Downtown St. Pete, Travis and Individuals are all written with photography in mind. hotography helps me to notice things your average person does not and appreciate them more I felt like that was something really important to include in my snapshot because i am so passionate about it and have so much to say (hence multiple snapshots regarding it)
Dylan is also something i am really passionate about. I debated including my snapshot of him because I felt it may be cliche to include a snapshot of my significant other but once I began writing and revising it it became more than a sappy snapshot, it had detail and I really felt like i could capture the moment and make the reader feel as if they were there. Also after the first draft my group member commented on it and said they enjoyed it which made me feel better because I wanted others to enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I had originally imagined i would write a bunch of snapshots and have to cut a few but once i had written down all pf the ones that came to mind first and that i had a lot to write about they just all happened to fit well together although they were so different. So I kept what i had an revised it.
