Blog #4 Rod Johnson
I came up with ideas for my snapshot really at the end of last year. As the New Year came by, I really laid in my bed and thought what all I was going to through I the year 2014! Prom, graduation, senior skip day, last day of high school, going to college, playing my first college football game. I mean so many exciting things are going to happen! When this paper was assigned I already knew in my mind what snap shots I was going to write about. It would be easy for me to write and enjoyable because I had fun during those times. I ended up writing about all the snapshots I was thinking of. I hope I have more fun events that happen to me to help me serve a second paper for when its due.

Focusing on a specific time period is a method different from mine in finding good snapshots, but I can definitely see it as a great way to hone in and remember specific details about your life. I feel like I should have done the same, except for an earlier time in my life, to pick up details I may have forgotten about on experiences I had at a younger age. I think choosing an earlier time in your life to reflect over could be a good challenge for you to take the next time you have to write about an experience in your life of your choice.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's interesting that you practically had all your ideas for your paper before you even knew that you had to write about them! My process of coming up with ideas for the paper was completely different from yours, since I had to actually think about them as I wrote the paper. I even scrapped some ideas that I thought of because it wouldn't fit well with the theme the paper was trying to portray, but I think it's interesting how it conveniently helped you in the long run that you already had most or all of your ideas by the time you started writing this paper!
