  1. I really liked your metaphor about a car as a trash can. I wrote the same thing in my Blog because it's so true. Everyone's cars are always so dirty and messy so it is easy to view one as a trash can. A lot of my friends use their cars as a trash can, throwing garbage and clutter into the back seats and trunks. I could even confuse the two with some of the cars I've seen.

My favorite simile of yours is the one about the tree being a skyscraper. When I read it I pictured a huge tree like the Giant Sequoias you can drive through in Yosemite. I also like the idea of comparing something naturally created and huge with something we created. In a way skyscrapers are like giant metal and glass trees.

  2. I like "a car is a trash can" it speaks to me because all the cars I have the pleasure of riding in at FSU so far are filled with trash. Very fun way of describing how most cars are not very clean on the inside

  3. I liked "A car is a trash can" because a lot of people's cars are used as trash cans. They throw their empty fast food bags and used cups in the back seat and forget about them until it piles up and starts to smell. I appreciate cars that have a clean inside.
I also liked "The tree was as tall as a skyscraper." That puts into perspective how tall the tree really is. If you've ever been on the top floor of a skyscraper and looked down, everything on the ground looks tiny and people on the sidewalks look like ants, so I thought this simile was interesting.
