I really like your "Family is like a roller coaster" metaphor because I felt like I could relate to that quote. My family is certainly like a roller coaster and we constantly have ups and downs as well as a lot of fun together. "Roller coaster" is an interesting way to describe the way families function but I definitely liked it.
