Respond
to the 1st question at the end of Allen’s article: What are you most
anxious about, when writing? For example, do you worry most about grammar and
mechanics? About organization? About the deadline? About page length? Why?
When writing, I feel most anxious about making sense. I get frustrated when the thoughts in my head can't come out clearly on paper. Page length is also a worry of mine because I feel like I never have enough to say. Page length makes me feel like I throw in random facts that don't make sense with my paper, just to hit a certain word count/page length. I am most nervous about other people reading my paper and judging my personal thoughts and opinions. I get anxious thinking that other writers who are better than me, are looking down on my work and thinking it's not good enough. I get insecure and feel like my work is not sufficient enough or up to par.
